The Pillsbury-Scarborough Bible College & Seminary, established in 1991 by the FreeWay Foundation (formerly Christian Civic Foundation), operates as a Christian school, which was granted “exempt institution” status by the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education on August 19, 1991. It is a flexible, personalized, distance-learning alternative to traditional graduate education. The College is targeted at mid-career ministers who have a heart for helping hurting people. We equip them to teach and apply practical spiritual principles and positive Biblical life skills.

Founded in 1991, Pillsbury is owned, controlled, and operated by FreeWay Foundation (formerly Christian Civic Foundation, which was chartered originally in 1890).

Granted “Accredited” status in January of 2003 by the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries.
Biblical Counseling tracks developed by the American Association of Christian Counselors. (AACC has 50,000 members worldwide.)
Christian Counseling Psychology tracks developed by the National Christian Counselors Association. (Established in 1981, NCCA has licensed more than 1,700 clinical Christian pastoral counselors in the US, and more than 4,000 worldwide.)
The Pillsbury-Scarborough Bible College & Seminary allows mature, self-motivated professionals to earn an affordable, convenient, and self-paced associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree from a reputable institution which has been in existence since 1890. Courses may be completed in modular classroom settings, by home study, DVD, or e-mail, and through private tutoring. Areas of concentration (degree tracks) include: Biblical Counseling, Christian Counseling Psychology, and Biblical Studies.

Advanced standing is granted for transferable graduate credits, proven career competencies, and demonstrated performance skills. Full academic credit is awarded for documented independent study, professional training, and other life learning experience.
