Affiliations and Memberships

Pillsbury-Scarborough Bible College & Seminary is proud to be recognized by and/or associated with the following professional educational organizations.

  • As a Christian school, Pillsbury College & Seminary was granted “exemption” by the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education on August 19, 1992.
  • Granted “Accredited” status in January of 2003 by the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries. ACI is an independent non-profit association chartered as an accrediting agency for small Bible colleges and specialized Christian schools, institutes, and seminaries. The organization has a current membership of over 300 schools in 39 states and the District of Columbia.
  • Because of the Board of Director’s convictions in support of religious freedom, Christian liberty, and the separation of church and state, the Accrediting Commission International has elected not to apply for affiliation with any regional or federal government agency. ACI, therefore, is not officially recognized by the United States Department of Education.
  • Biblical Counseling tracks developed by the American Association of Christian Counselors, which issues Certificates of Completion to students who successfully complete each course of study. (AACC has 50,000 members worldwide.)
  • Christian Counseling Psychology tracks developed by the National Christian Counselors Association, which offers licensure and board certification to graduates fulfilling the additional NCCA requirements. (Established in 1981, NCCA has licensed more than 2,000 clinical Christian pastoral counselors in the United States, and more than 5,000 world-wide.)
  • Officially recognized in 2003 as an authorized Certified Academic Institution (CAI) by the National Christian Counselors Association.
  • Member: Academic Council for Educational Accountability. More than 100 schools training persons for Christian ministry and leadership are members of ACEA, founded in 1998 by Dr. C. Peter Wagner.
  • Charter Member: Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries, an international organization providing guidance and assistance to over 300 new and developing schools.
