The Foundation merged two established Missouri-based prevention organizations: Christian Civic Foundation, Inc. (CCF) and DATE (Drug Alcohol Tobacco Education, Inc.), which also does business as “Freeway Project”.

The roots of Christian Civic Foundation reach back to the 19th century, having originally been chartered in 1890 under another name. CCF has served Missouri’s Christian community for more than 100 years as a channel of cooperation to deal with problems associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

DATE was established in 1975 to serve the public schools of Missouri. Since then, it has benefited more than 350 of Missouri’s 524 public-school districts, providing free classroom teachers, curricula and other materials for grades K-12. During its 30-plus years of service, the Freeway Project has taught face-to-face more than 1.9 million students, an average of 170 pupils every day. Three separate scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of our drug and violence prevention curricula.

Through Pillsbury-Scarborough Bible College & Seminary, specialized services and products developed by Freeway Foundation are available for use in the Christian community. These resources for churches and homes include:
